KCR May Snatch ABCD from Manda Krishna!
Has Manda Krishna rubbed KCR’s government in Telangana on the wrong side? Or given him an opportunity to make inroads into Dalit vote bank?
By arresting Krishna to foil his plan to organise Million March at Tank Bund might have invited immediate ire of Dalit organisations. His persistent demand for SC categorisation (ABCD) for the last two decades can’t send any fresh shock waves to the state government in power, as it is in the purview of the Centre. Krishna has so far been successful in convincing the leaders of the most of the political parties across the country to give their nod to the proposed categorisation.
‘KCR, who has a proven record in playing cards to his advantage, may use this issue in his favour, without giving due credit Krishna.’
KCR has nothing to lose in atoning with them and sending all party team to mount pressure on the centre as desired by Krishna. KCR may buy time and will come out in favour categorisation to woo Madigas, the major chunk of SCs in Telangana.
The categorisation will give an instant benefit to this sub-caste. Maalas, who are lesser in number, is not as vociferous as they were prior to bifurcation of the state in opposing categorisation. They are convinced that the categorisation will not adversely affect their fortunes.
KCR, who has a proven record in playing cards to his advantage, may use this issue in his favour, without giving due credit Krishna.
