Will Jagan Reject Modi’s Offer?
If the Prime Minister offers a post in the highest institution of the Country can a regional party leader reject it? Now Y.S.Jaganmohan Reddy of YSRCP has been thrown into such a dilemma.
In fact Jagan has been trying his best to keep Modi in good humour, ever since he got a very big mandate in 2019 polls. The reason is plain enough: getting Special Category Status (SPS) for AP.
But this very gesture of offering Deputy Speaker post to Jagan’s Party implies the other way round. It’s Modi, who has travelled an extra mile, to be friendly with Jagan. This post could well have been offered to Stalin’s DMK, as it stands the third largest party(with 23 members) in Loksabha, while YSRCP comes closer as the fourth largest one(with a22 members).
If at all Modi wants choose one from NDA’s allies, Shiva Sena and JD (U) are in line. Then why has Jagan become dearer to Modi than the leaders of all other Parties? Just watch the video (Link given below):
