Is Special Category Status Day Dream?

Political Parties have fooled People of Andhra Pradesh thrice for the last 5 years. To be precise enough, the leaders of these parties had three lies to tell.

First lie: These Parties made them believe that the state would not be bifurcated hiding the fact they had vouched up for such division. They kept on harping the same, even after AP State Reorganisation bill had been tabled in Lok Sabha and  reassured Andhrites they would stall it in Rajya Sabha. Finally it was an utter shock for the people of  Seemandhra, to know the fact Telangana, a new state was carved out of AP in 2014.

Second Lie: As Andhrites had forgone Hyderabad, the Capital City , in which they believed they had their stakes, they seriously  looked for someone, who would build such a magnificent city in residual AP. Honestly speaking none can replicate Hyderabad, with its unique geographical placement  and cultural diversity. Contrary to the fact all the parties lie they would build. Chandra Babu Naidu’s TDP  had an edge in making the people believe.

Third Lie: Special Category Status(SCS). The then Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh made it a promise , which had nothing to do with the provisions of AP State Reorganisation Act 2014. Hence it was not enforceable by law. It is at the mercy of the Party in the centre, which enjoys requisite majority. Modi Government dodged it for the entire tenure. Now Modi has succeeded Modi. The AP Assembly passed a resolution now demanding it. Will Modi accord SCS now? Is it not a third lie?
