‘Familial’ Justice in Nandi Awards!
From Box Office to Ballot Box, matinee idols cast their spell in Tollywood. Along with Producers, Politicians que up for their call sheet. When Polls are around, no star is left unaligned. Being in power, the Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh has had it’s early bird’s advantage by clearing Nandi awards of the three years( 2014, 2015 and 2016) at one go. One finds ‘familial justice'(a mimicked term for Social Justice) in choosing people for awards. The jury seems to have been aware of the fact that half a dozen families control the entire Telugu Film Industry. YSR Congress Party, on the other hand, has paid little attention to Film glamour. Barring Roja, a talkative heroine of yesteryears, no star of worth mentioning is in the party. Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy could bring congress to power in 2009 without having filmy lot in his bandwagon. Perhaps Jagan too is toeing his father’s line..!
